yeah okay ive tottaly gone off the rails with everything.
life in general but in particular my work... i dont know what im doing, havent had a focus for so long. ideas but no execution. ive been sick - in both kinds, and its taken its tole.
this has also lead to procrastination and ive completely let myself down with my work, i know i have let myself go and my art go. i really just cant wait to have compeltely fresh ideas in the new semester and stick to them, although im already starting to have way to many ideas which is not good!
i have a few that i have research and i havent lost interest in them after looking at them for a while.
anyway... i just want to hand in what ive done so far even though its not to my full potential.
... honestly im not at my full potential at the moment...

havent posted in a while
i know i havent posted in AGES but i have been sick and extreamly busy :(
i have gotten plenty of other ideas though but im am not sure which one to go with.
i still like the previous idea but i thought i would relate it more to my 70s style project in a materialistic way. i was thinking of using negatives or polaroids in some way. i thought of hanging negatives but against a window so people can see through them. what this would be in relation to the other project is the use of the film throughtout although this would be using negatives as and actual art form. so stripping back photography even more. i could even do this with polaroids although i do like the effect of the transparency of the negatives. also i like how it disregards colours. you create your own colour and the light effects that too. in darkness, you can not see the photos but in light, whatever the light is helps convey different parts of the negatives. how you dont judge a person for there colour, hair colour etc.
like helmut newton has a photo of a lady with orange hair but in the black and white we cant see that and dont judge her by her orange hair.
i could possibly use this comparison of taking a polaroid against the negative or the colour photo next to the negative. compare and contrast the differences. how the light maybe doesnt shine through the photo? how does this have an effect? ... maybe scrap polaroids... yeah i think so.
the photo.... then the negative next to it. the same size. present them in a kind of table. on a window so you can see through the negative. also i will shoot on 120 film so the negative is easier to see and the photo wont be so small.
also during the night you wont be able to see the negatives, only the photos... i think i will go with this. i like it :)

such a broad topicccccc!
anyway so firstly there is the 12hr project. it is due in June but i think i want to make it a major project along with the sequence and narrative.
so here are some initial ideas
- stop motion > of my day or something for 12 hours
- time lapse
- time lapse of a parorama film- have different screens around and have the video play over the whole.
- create an artwork for 12hrs and create a film
- photography of my day for 12 hrs
